Eduardo grew up in Brazil, the son of an illustrator and a nurse. At 18, whilst studying for a degree in IT, he made a website for a client and, instead of payment, was given his first camera. A few months, and one photography workshop, later he quit university (to his parents dismay) for he had found what he loved.
Starting his career in fashion photography, Eduardo built successful campaigns for the likes of Alexander Macqueen, Vivianne Westwood, Vogue and Glamour Magazine. Moving into commercials and television, he was able to refine his eye for aesthetics whilst also developing his passion for narrative storytelling. Last year he worked as 2nd unit cinematographer on the upcoming feature film ‘Tales of Babylon’ which recently received a ‘Best Picture’ nomination from World-Fest Houston International Film Festival.
Driven by a desire to tell stories that need to be heard, Eduardo’swork often invites audiences into a world, or a moment, that is yet unseen. As a Director of Photography, he has made a number of award-winning short films that have screened across the world at festivals such as the BAFTA-qualifying Norwich Film Festival; Brussels Independent Film Festival; Havana Film Festival; Documentary Short UK Film Festival and Madrid Film Festival. Eduardo also picked up the ‘Innovation Award’ at Smart Screen Creative Awards.
